1.00 - 1.15pm	Introduction to SQL	Aaron Jackson to present	Presentation will be written up as HIC Knowledge Base (HKB) article so example code can be shared Demo of joins between datasets, an introduction to this will be included in the HKB article with the aim to discuss the 1-to-1 and 1-to-many situations. Recording of meeting at the end of the page
1.15 - 1.30pm	Q&A	Laura Ward to chair	Repository for useful SQL code - HKB article will be published in a few weeks useful to include example variables that aren’t relevant and show users how to select data appropriately Can HIC offer expertise of software engineers working with SQL before research statisticians start analyses? 90% work completed by 10% SQL, can collaborate on building a repository relevant to all TRE users Some useful resources for connecting to SQL database in the TRE on our HKB, R code calling SQL, and general syntax here. Mix of users from standard offering to higher compute users Query of load related issues working in the TRE, more likely to be wifi load/ poor connections rather than TRE performance
