 👋 Introduction

The HIC User Group (HUG) is open to all users of our Trusted Research Environment (TRE) and will advocate secure access to data, open science, and community building. The primary purpose of the group is to provide a positive engagement space to advance the utility of the TRE and build collective expertise between HIC as TRE providers, and all TRE users (whether academic or clinical research, business or otherwise).

HUG was launched in April 2024 with monthly meetings held in a hybrid format (both online and in-person options). Due to attendance/ availability of Users, we will reduce these meetings to every 2nd month in 2025. The Terms of Reference are set out here and will be reviewed to ensure the functioning of the group.

The meetings will use a hybrid format with both in-person and online, or just on-line. These will be chosen depending on the needs of the group.

HIC Offices are in Wilson House, 1 Wurzburg Loan with directions found here and as a secure space, we will record visitors and provide passes as required.
