2- Release an extracted dataset (to customer)

2- Release an extracted dataset (to customer)

[ 1 Prerequisites ] [ 2 Steps ]

Prerequisites

Following on from extracting the datasets for a project, once validated, it is then requiring release.

See: 1- Extract and Link Catalogues

This process change the status of an Extraction Configuration to Frozen. Once an Extraction is frozen the content is accessible in “Read Only” mode and can’t roll back to previous status. However in order to reuse the content of a Frozen extraction, it is possible to clone it (see: Cloning an Extraction Configuration)

Steps

Step 1- On extracting the project datasets the screen will show completion ticks next to each dataset and the progress bar will be green.

Step 2 – Right click on the extraction and select 'Release' from the drop down menu

Step 3 Select the pipeline from the drop down from those available in the drop down. Then press the 'Execute' button

Once released you will note that the extraction moves from 'Extraction Configurations' to 'Frozen Extraction Configurations' and the datasets are ready to send/move to the researcher.
