Generate Metadata Report
Steps
Step 1- Select 'Report' from the menu
Step 2 – From the drop down select 'Generate' and then 'Metadata'
Step 3 -At this point you can select whether to create a metadata report for all catalogues or a specific one. For this example I have chosen a specific catalogue.
Step 4 – At the right hand side you will see multiple check boxes available to include in the report and also options to increase the time out or row look up. These are:
Graphs: This option will produce any graphs that have been built and are linked with this catalogue and marked as extractable.
Distinct Identifier Count: This provides a count of identifiers(Distinct CHI in step 6) in the catalogue.
Row Counts: This provides a count of rows(records displayed in step 6) in the catalogue.
Internal Catalogue Items: This option will produce metadata for Internal items.
Non Extractable Catalogue Items: This option will produce metadata for items marked Non Extractable.
Deprecated Catalogue Items: This option will produce metadata for items marked Deprecated.
Query Timeout: If the catalogue is particularly large it can often time out before producing the Metadata. This field allows you to extend it to a longer period of time (seconds).
Max lookup Rows: If the catalogue has associated lookups the contents of these will be included up to this maximum number of rows. This is set to a default of 30 in this example
Step 5 – Select the ' Generate' report button
The Metadata report is created in word format within your downloads folder.
