Bulk process on Catalogue Items

Bulk processing allows you to recategorize multiple columns at once. To delete multiple catalogue items, extraction information and/or associated columns.

Steps

Step 1- Select Catalogues from the vertical menu bar, then selecting the catalogue in which the items are in right click your mouse selecting 'View Catalogue Extraction Sql' open the


We are using this method to obtain the list of items we would like to change. The list can be taken from a word/ txt document also.


This will open the Catalogues SQL window, in our example the Biochemistry. The items we will select will be from the 'Extraction Information' column.


Step 2- Return to the Catalogue window on the left of the screen, right click on the 'catalogue items' and select 'Bulk Process Catalogue Items' from the menu.


At the top of the windows you will note the two tabs available, select the biochemistry SQL.


Step 3 – Copy the catalogue items that you would like to change from the 'Extraction information' column

Return to the Bulk Processing tab


Step 4 – Paste the selected columns into the left-hand column. You will note thes other catalogue items will be removed from the 'Catalogue Items Affected' window


For example purposes we will change our selected catalogue items to 'Supplemental'

Step 5 – On the far right of the window is the Transform options, first one being to Mark Assoc columns. From the drop-down menu below select 'supplemental'

Step 6 - Place a tick in the box below to recategorize the matching items and select the 'Transform' button. You will notice the extraction type for these items change from 'Green' (extractable) to 'Orange' (Supplemental)
