👋 Introduction
Whilst our cloud TRE offers great flexibility in terms of resource and storage, we have several a “standard offerings” offering” which require no additional infrastructure time to provision. This generally comes down to what is commonly required requires no customization and includes the most commonly requested software that are available and open source. The page below tries to make a distinction between the project types, and what software will be available.

🧰 Standard TRE Workspaces
Standard configurations for workspaces are applicable across all types of projects, e.g. commercial, external to the University of Dundee and internal to the University of Dundee. The below standard open source packages which are commonly required.included:
Python with PyTorch and TensorFlow
R and RStudio with access to our CRAN proxy
VS Code
Access to an SQL Server if required
A choice of Ubuntu or Windows workspace.
For certain projects, we also provision a Slurm environment, which enables compute to be provisioned on demand for specific jobs.
