Introduction

Your TRE workspace may use a Linux or Windows Operating System. However, due to licensing restrictions Microsoft Office is not available in the TRE.

Options

Equivalent functionality is provided through the open-source LibreOffice suite which is installed in all TRE workspaces.

Microsoft Word

• Use LibreOffice Writer to edit Word documents ✍️

• For full compabitility with Word save your files as .docx

Microsoft Excel

• Use LibreOffice Calc to edit Excel documents 🧮

• For full compatibility with Excel save your files as .xlsx
