👋 Introduction

We HIC support secure data analysis in the TRE and provide access - to sensitive data in line with project information governance. We understand that TRE users may need to be added to (or removed) to a project and any changes in TRE users will be confirmed with the Principle Investigator (PI).

...

To allow a user access to a TRE project, HIC we will require the following:

  • Confirmation from the PI that the named user TRE User should be added to a the named project.

  • Confirmation from the PI that the associated and agreed TRE-related costs regarding user set-up, storage and compute considerations are acceptable.

  • The TRE user to undertake the mandated Information Governance training to be considered authorised under the “Safe People” principle of the Five Safes Framework. We require all users to complete either the “Research, GDPR and confidentiality - what you really need to know” MRC training or the ONS Safe Researcher training. Instructions on how to do this can be found in 'Safe People' requirements and resources.

  • The TRE user to sign https://www.dundee.ac.uk/corporate-information/hic-tre-user-agreement. Note that the TRE User Agreement expires after 3 years.

...

Info

Additional user access to projects will incur a cost (user set-up, storage and compute considerations for the TRE infrastructure)
